Deleting your organization
Deleting an organization is reversible for a while, and then permanent. You delete it from the organization’s Settings, in the danger zone at the bottom.
Delete an organization
Section titled “Delete an organization”- Open the organization’s Settings and find Delete organization at the bottom.
- Type the organization’s exact name to confirm, then choose Delete this organization.
- The organization becomes inaccessible right away, for everyone, and is scheduled for permanent deletion in 30 days.
Restore within 30 days
Section titled “Restore within 30 days”For 30 days after deletion, the organization appears under Recently deleted on your dashboard, showing the days left and a Restore button. Restoring brings it back exactly as it was, with the same address (its slug) and all of its data. Once the 30 days pass, it can no longer be restored.
What permanent deletion removes
Section titled “What permanent deletion removes”When the recovery window closes, the organization is permanently deleted: its survey types, records, members, locations, integrations, lab samples, map layers, and stored files are all removed.
Records you had already published to the public layer are the one exception. They are kept, because publishing is permanent (see Permanence), but they are de-identified: your organization’s name is removed from them, so they stand as an anonymous public record.
