The analysis page
Open a survey type and choose Analysis. The page reads your fields and records and shows only the analyses that apply.
How it decides
Section titled “How it decides”CensusIO looks at the survey type’s fields to find what it needs, and runs whatever the data supports:
- a length field (a number in mm, cm, or m) adds the length-frequency histogram, and, for supported species, size structure and relative weight;
- a species field adds species composition and the per-species metrics;
- a weight field, with length and a supported species, adds relative weight;
- the mark-recapture, removal, catch, effort, and test-result fields drive the matching population estimators.
The standard survey types in your starter library already carry the right fields, so these analyses appear as soon as you have data.
When something is missing
Section titled “When something is missing”If a piece is missing, the page says so in plain language rather than leaving you guessing, for example “No length field (a number measured in mm, cm, or m), so length frequency, PSD, and relative weight were not computed.” Add the field or the data and the analysis appears.
